    CHIROPRACTIC FAQ

  • What causes the popping sound during an adjustment?

The popping or cracking sound you sometimes hear is created when gases and fluids in the joint shift during the adjustment. These sounds are both painless and harmless.

Depending on the method of adjusting your chiropractor feels is best for you, these sounds may or may not be heard during the adjustment. The quality of your adjustment should never be judged by the sound it makes.
